Get ready to reunite with beloved video game characters this winter.
Quite a few reveals were packed into the Nintendo Direct livestream Thursday,Darden Clarke including updates on upcoming Switch titles, a few new — and a few more nostalgic.
Here's a look at some of their biggest announcements and what else is coming to the console.
'Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door'
One surprising announcement is the remake of "Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door," originally released in 2004 for GameCube. The game will have updated graphics for the Switch and is expected to released sometime next year.

'Princess Peach: Showtime!'
We have a title! More details were released in the Direct about the new Princess Peach solo adventure. In the "Princess Peach: Showtime!" game, the princess must save the day after a trip to the theater goes awry.
Release date: March 22, 2024 (preorders available now on the Nintendo eShop and at select retailers)
'Super Mario RPG'
A new gameplay trailer for the Super NES remake of "Super Mario RPG" shown during the Direct offered a closer look at the upcoming Switch game, including battle mechanics and other features.
Release date: Nov. 17
'Mario vs. Donkey Kong'
One of the oldest gaming rivalries is coming back in this updated version of the 2004 Game Boy Advance game. A gameplay trailer for "Mario vs. Donkey Kong" was shown during the Direct, with fresh graphics and more.
Release date: Feb. 16, 2024
'Luigi's Mansion 2 HD'
The spooky Luigi-centered video game, originally "Dark Moon" for the Nintendo 3DS, is being being remastered for Switch and gets a new title: "Luigi's Mansion 2 HD." The game will be released next summer.
Release date: Summer 2024
'Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown'
This new installment in the "Prince of Persia" franchise, "Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown," will feature new characters and mysteries.
Release date: Jan. 18, 2024 (preorders available now on the Nintendo eShop)
